DENNY LIVE: THE REASON YOU RAPPIN ASS NI*** SHOULD GO INDEPENDENT PT. I

What I’m about to say is going to be extremely harsh. What I’m about to tell you is going to revolutionize hip hop and change the entire entertainment industry FOREVER ! Are you ready ? I’m not. I’m actually scared to even say this, because this is the same type shit they killed Malcolm and Martin for. OPENING THE MINDS OF THE PEOPLE. Let me start my saying, “Fuck your mixtape !” Fuck these major labels !” “Fuck your local radio station !” And last but not least, “Fuck you scary-ass-kiss-ass-pussy-ass-rappers !” Yeah I said it ! You’re surprised aren’t you ! I know you are, but here’s why I say this. The entertainment industry has a way of ruining the lives and livelihood of the artist. How many times have you heard of artist going to war with their labels over promotional budgets, lost royalties, and things of that nature ? The answer is all the time. Most recently, Nas is having problems with Def Jam coming up off the paper to properly promote his new project. Remember when everybody thought Beanie Sigel and State Property were best friends with Jay-Z….Remember ? State Property was probably one of the most talented super-groups in the history of hip hop, but Jay did them dirty along with Dame Dash and Kareem Biggs. What happen to Beanie’s sneaker contract ? What happen to Bean’s promotional budget for his last album ? It’s simple. The industry takes total advantage of artist who are not savvy when it comes to the business of entertainment. The attitude of the record company is usually, “Just rap lil nigga..don’t worry ya’self about da publishin’ and da mechanical royalties and all dat shit….I got dat !” A prime example of this type of this behavior is Gillie da Kid’s situation with Cash Money. Baby loved Gillie’s hood persona and talent, but when it came to paperwork, Gil’s knowledge of the business as far as royalties, and publishing, surprised the other artist in Cash Money’s circle as well as other executives, and put a bad taste in Baby’s mouth because Gillie knew just as much as he did about the business and he was president of the label ! So the question is…What is purpose of signing to a major label ? Here’s what the A&R niggas at Def Jam don’t want you know, because of the existence of the internet you have access to more people 24 hours a day without the need of a expensive “promotion budget” from your “label”. So I say fuck a “major label” deal ! Start you own “record company”. Why go through the aggravation of dealing with Jay-Z taking the hottest song off your album and using it for himself. Why go through “the label” having you playing guessing games with your publishing, all that’s gonna do is have you sittin’ in jail because you done shot “the president of your “label” Lmao. My suggestion is stop looking to get signed and SIGN YOURSELF ! I’m gonna show you how to do it without Jay.
