Dizaster vs Arcane [Rap Battle Title Match] *Co-Hosted By Drake*
One of only two Americans to have ever held the chain, Dizaster is one of the most entertaining battlers to have appeared in King of the Dot. Always bringing an over to the top energetic performance, the California resident makes use of spastic freestyles and creative written angles to pick apart his opponents. Having earned his spot as one of the best active battlers in today’s circuit, Dizaster has performed all over the world, taking on challengers in Australia, Canada, England, the Netherlands, and Sweden. Being in such demand has refined Diz’s skills, allowing him to develop a higher caliber of battling against opponents from all over the world. With a resume that includes names such as TheSaurus, Illmaculate, DNA and Canibus, Diz has faced off against some of the best in the game and has always made it competitive. Hoping to defend his title from Grand Prix champ Arcane.
As the only Canadian to have won the 1 vs. 1 Grand Prix, Arcane is in the familiar position of battling the current KOTD Champion for the chain. After tearing through the 2010 bracket, the 905 representative continued to build his name, battling overseas in Don’t Flop and participating in various King of the Dot events, often headlining the cards. As one of the eight seeded battlers in the 2012 Grand Prix, Arcane did not have an easy road, but managed to take down Step Easy, Luciano Crakk, 100 Bulletz, and Chedda Cheese in the finals to earn another shot at the title. Utilizing his newest recurring theme of breaking down his opponents with their own styles, Arcane showed each opponent on his way to Dizaster how it was supposed to be done. Back in the ring with the possibility to be the only battler to have held the chain on more than one occasion, Arcane will have his hands full as he faces off against one of the most volatile and dangerous battlers in the world, this match was one of the most controversial of Blackout 3.
Simultaneously making his West Coast and King of the Dot debut, John John da Don made the trip from the East for the showdown against Caustic in this headlining battle from KOTDWC’s Resurgence event. One of the rising stars of the past year, the Atlanta based emcee relocated to New York in order to make the transition from Grindtime ATL to the URL stage, one of the few emcee’s ever to do so. Now commanding a high level of competition, John John’s last battle was a mainstage appearance against Hitman Holla in what was one of the best showings from each battler. Having stepped his battling game up, John John da Don is known for his vicious performance, attacking his opponents with aggressively with a nonstop barrage of bars and personal punches. Jumping in the ring with Caustic, which emcee will take down the other and prove themselves victorious?
Proving himself as one of the West Coast’s giants as of late, Caustic may not have been a heavyweight during the early days of the written battle scene, but he is more than a problem now. One of the most dangerous battlers to face off against, the Union City native has a reputation for completely obliterating his opponents. Often utilizing devastating personal information, Caustic crafts his rounds such that the flow and delivery of his material is not sacrificed in order to ruin his opponents in the ring. Beginning to gain some international exposure, Caustic has made moves in both Canada and the UK previously, gaining fans in both countries. With a resume that includes Rone, 24/7, and Jonny Storm, Caustic is a seasoned veteran ready to spar with URL representative John John da Don.
Battle brought to you in part by the Epsilon Project.
Coming off of an impressive showing at World Domination 3, Sonny Bamboo is stepping back into the ring. Showing he can hang with some of the best in his Osa battle, the Atlanta emcee is beginning to battle more often as shown by his involvement with Flatline 2. At one time part of Grindtime, Sonny is known by many as the host of the Midwest division, bringing some of today’s best battlers into the scene. However, the Leprechaun Don is also a very talented battler and artist, having released his most previous album roughly a year ago. Ready to step up his battling game, Sonny Bamboo now takes on the former King of the Dot champion, PoRich, in this next release from Flatline 2.
One of the most familiar faces in King of the Dot today, PoRich is one of the most active battlers in all of Canada. First seen in JumpOff’s WRC competition, the Whitby representative paired with Kid Twist to put Canadian battling on the map in that era. Having now transitioned into the written scene, Po has battled more often than most and has taken on some of the heavy hitters in the game, such as Soul Khan, Dizaster, and Loe Pesci. Coming off of the loss of his reign as KOTD Champion, Rich has not slowed his grind, having taken on both Uno Lavoz and now Sonny Bamboo since World Domination 3
Back for his second Flatline event, Skelly has arguably made the most progress of any battle emcee in the past year. After facing Arcane a year ago at the first Flatline event, the Scarborough representative has been making moves that have granted him increasingly better opposition in PH and Passwurdz. Having honed his skills against some of King of the Dot’s elite including Bender and Osa, Skelly has continued to better himself in both material and delivery, making him one of the crowd favorites at events. With his street oriented bars and often hostile performance, Skelly will have to bring his A game in order to overtake Daylyt in this matchup.
Having made one of the most grandiose returns to the battle scene ever, Watts native Daylyt is showing no signs of slowing in his newfound enthusiasm for battling. In the past year alone, Daylyt has taken on the likes of Philly Swain, Spee Dolla, and Rich Dolarz, continuing to build his reputation and abilities. Utilizing one of the most unique personalities on the battle circuit, Daylyt is able to concoct bars that are simultaneously thought provoking, humorous, and often devastating to his opponents. Despite encountering issues crossing international borders in the past, Daylyt and the King of the Dot staff took every precaution in order to ensure that this next match from Flatline 2 was able to happen.
