BREAD a.k.a. Ricardo Riviera is one of the most compelling and inspiring hip-hop artist creating music today. His intense energy and undeniable flair capture listeners unlike any other recording artist in recent history.

Possessing the creativity and passion of a true Emcee, nobody does it better than BREAD. Coming from a military family background, BREAD has had the advantage of living in Texas, Florida, Maryland, Washington D.C., Pittsburgh, Virginia, Atlanta, and now currently living in Philadelphia. Musical influences include: Parliament-Funkadelic, Outkast, Devin the Dude, Backyard Band, Rare Essence [go-go genre], Tupac, Geto Boys, N.W.A., Busta Rhymes, Earth Wind and Fire, and Lenny Kravitz.

Although rap is BREADs main artistry, he also has acting credits to add to his credentials: The Temptations (1998), cast as Otis Williams younger brother, also The Jacksons: An American Dream (1992), cast as an extra member. After landing a recording contract with Def Jam Records under the name B.R.E.A.D. (Blessed Rich Educated And Destined) in 2005 with group member Slim; the group was dropped from the label in 2006 before releasing their single entitled “You Dont Want Dat” produced by Mike Boykin (courtesy of BoykinBeatz, LLC.).

BREAD caught the attention of mainstream when he was given the opportunity to co-write on southern pop star Ciaras hit record entitled “Oh” (produced by Dre & Vidal). He is also cited for writing with Philadelphia rap star Eve, also collaborating with r&b singer Latif, J Records recording artist; Marsha Ambrosius (formerly of Floetry), Def Jam recording artist; Sterling Simms, and Motown recording artist; Wanya Morris of Boyz II Men.

Im serious bout the music/art/craft but love to have fun too

Ive been entertaining people for thousands of years

I lived in many places, I was a military brat: I lived area 51, DC, Pittsburgh, Im currently living in Philly

2pac!!! Disturbed def tones, kings of Leon, Geto boys, ganksta Nip, Ricky rozay, Tyler the Creator OFWGKTA)
